Jay Fletcher
'Against all Odds'

The two guys above have finished in the top 3 Cheshire Centre 125 Championships. Ashley Cornall (109) won it and Jay Fletcher came third. They are pictured at Paddock Bend, Three Sisters, June 2004
In his first season of racing 24 Year old Fletcher has suffered a broken wrist, a broken collarbone, a major engine blow up and in the process continues to battle with kidney disease which will need a transplant and which takes him to hospital three times a week for treatment. He is completely obsessed with his racing and provides inspiration to us all for his drive, determination and manifest ability to ride a racing motorcycle. The 96 Honda 125 was not the most complete of racing bikes you would wish for, as last season proved, but Jay has been helped out by a number of fellow riders., notably Steve Dawson, who rebuilt the engine after the Aintree blow up. Ray Meyers (former 3 sisters champion) has pitched in with support in the paint department (RPM Paint Zone, Preston) and will add his logo to the machine. Jay is extremely grateful to these fellas and all the rest who gave advice and help last season. The candid honesty with which Jay describes last season...from the early races where he was nowhere to emerging in the places makes a story which would encourage any young rider to keep at it no matter what. Fastrackimages extends to Jay Fletcher respect and congratulations. May he prosper next season!!!
