Dave Bath

One of the best known riders on the North West Tracks and multiple Champion, David  Bath   started racing in 1999 with the Preston Club at Three Sisters. He was winner of the Martin Wilding Trophy for the best Newcomer in that year and with the exception of 2000 was the 400 and Open 500 champion at Three Sisters for the next three years. Injured for a good part of 2000 followng a crash at Three Sisters, Dave managed a third in the Wirral 100 400 Championship in that year. At Aintree once the formidable Duncan Burns had moved up a class, Dave  repeated the process of Championship wins accompanied by lap records in latter days; wishful thinking to hope those two could settle the issue now!! Clashes with Mick Garside and Matty Gowan were the highlight of last year's Aintree 400 Championship....aptly named the Fastrackimages Championship. The clash with Burns might well take place next season as Dave has a GSXR 600 to race.... though it is typical of the man that he says he expects to be whipped... Few races so far have seen that happening.  Some experiences have been less pleasant. Croft 2004 proved to be an expensive experiment which brought a high speed crash at the Jim Clarke Esses in the second meeting, when the front end let go and the bike got wrecked. Croft was abandoned, despite Dave describing it as a fantastic circuit.

This affable and extremely approachable rider has established a deserved reputation for fast and safe racing, usually with a smile (see above). He has up to press no intention of going onto the roads either in the Isle of Man or in Ireland, though without question he has a talent which is both exceptional and proven.

Dave Bath is preparing for the coming season with much the same  equipment and the same

resolve to do well. A champion many times over he feels times are getting tougher

nowadays, a typical remark from this modest but talented rider. He even tolerates

Fastrackimages and their jokes !!! We wish him all the best for 2008.

Aintree action from a few years back: anyone guess the year?
